Changes made from 1.0 to 1.5
Added some ansi, cleaned up some text, fixed some of the user fighting text,
added a whos online, added a lottery, added the usage of FG.SYS file for
sysops to configure the game more.
Changed the fighting scheme dramaticly to bring the user more into the fight
instead of the random number generator that dont seem to work right in a
multi-tasked environment anyways. Now you must hit the space bar at a pre-
determined number with the numbers being displayed every 10 dots, the numbers
will randomly change from 1-7 to 7-1.
NOTICE: The user structure has been changed to accomodate the lottery, so,
YOU MUST DO 1 of 2 THINGS. make a temp dir from the users dir, and copy all
the *.rpt files there then delete them from the users dir and run the file
called fix, it will read the current users files and convert then to the new
format, then you must copy all *.rpt files back to the users dir then delete
the temp dir! OR You can delete everything in the users DIR and start over.
Added version 7.0 support, for some reason, the cfg->acct_prefix was removed
so I added a place in the FG.SYS place for it, its going to take more than that
to slow me down.
Changes made from 1.5 to 1.6
Seems that more has been changed in the bbs than I thought, looks like all
the account numbers also has a numeric value no longer padded with '0's 1.6
will only work with 7.0x now, you must delete your entire users\ dir because
of the above problem(s) this was also the problem with several functions not
working, it couldnt find the data files anymore since it was always looking
for a '0' padded number (go figure).
Changes made from 1.6 to 1.7
The who will now list all stealthed users online with a flashing red line
number if the player has the subop or sysop flags set in the bbs, if the player
does not have this access it simply tells them that that line is waiting for a
caller..
There is a 1 and 10 chance when you call the attack feature of getting jumped
by a stray mig now.
Touched up a few text errors thanks to several sysops.
Changes mad from 1.7 to 1.8
Finally found the bug of not allowing the user to fight and win beyond air
field # sixteen.
Added a routine to print a file called CHANGES.TXT if this file exists then
its printed to the user before login to the game, this could be usefull in
letting your users know whats going on in the game or you can leave it out and
it will function normally.
Included support for version 6.69b (version6.zip) and version 7.0x
(version7.zip)
Changes made from 1.8 to 1.9
Fixed the ability to type non ascii characters for a user handle in the game
making it hard to attack. Now only alphabetic chars are allowed, no spaces.
Fixed the jet shop allowing you to buy a jet that wasnt on the list and making
you invinsable.
Fixed the arms shop allowing you to buy a weapons system that wasnt on the
list making you invinsable.
Removed the who command from the game at the request of a few sysops.
Fixed the dreaded problem with the game giving someone elses plane to a new
user that falken has graciously given them someone elses account number, now
when the user goes into the game if the REAL name has been changed in the bbs
account the game will assume it is a new user and ask them for thier handle
again, unfortunalty, the user base has to be wiped out, so you MUST delete the
USERS directory, this is done for storage reasons, sorry.
Changes made from 1.9 to 2.0
Mainly a maintenance release, finished the packing of the user base, done a
little bit of text cleaning.
